Delores M. Donahue
age 86
Born 10/2/1938
Died 8/5/2025
Delores M. Donahue, age 86, quietly passed away on the afternoon of August 5th, 2025, surrounded and held by close family members. She was born on October 2nd, 1938, one of two daughters of the late Daniel and Madeline DeBone. Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert F. Donahue, and best friend and sister, Helen Baret.
A devoted wife and homemaker, Delores raised their three children in the city where she was born and raised,
Stamford, CT. A hard-working mother, she was an integral employee at Nestlé Services. A social butterfly, Delores would nurture her local community by volunteering at the Salvation Army of
Stamford, CT, competing in multiple bowling leagues, being a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, a Columbiette, and enjoying spending time with her friends at the Over 60 Club. An active and supportive matriarch, Delores would endure long car rides and conquer crippling fears of heights and flight to watch her loved ones perform. Whether dancing on stage or skating in the rink, performing music or taking the field, she'd be sitting in the crowd with all her attention and love on her family.
Her love continues to be felt by her daughters, Colleen Donahue & Charlene Wallace; her son, Robert Donahue; her son-in-law, Carl Wallace; her grandchildren, Bobby Clamage, Brianne Gale, Sean, Dylan, & Hunter Wallace, and Anthony & Luke Donahue; her grandson-in-law, Jon Gale; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton & Mason Gale.
Delores will be remembered for her loving nature, gentle touch, and beautiful smile. She was a tender woman who loved shopping, watching movies with popcorn, puzzles, and most of all, being surrounded by family. Delores continues to serve as an inspiration for those who follow.
The family would like to thank the incredibly caring staff at Stamford Hospital for making Delores' final moments as comfortable as possible and allowing the family to find peace.
