Delores Machado

Delores and I sang a duet in a Moody Junior High School show. I remember it well. The song was an old one by Victor Herbert called "Because You're You," and the lyrics begin: "Not that you are fair, dear, not that you are true. Not your golden hair, dear (Here's the part I remember because the director of the show realized Delores did not have golden hair, so she changed the lyric to: "Not your raven hair, dear" to match Delores' hair. She was a wonderful lady...

May you Rest in Peace, Delores...I will never forget all the fun we had in the Highland Players with Director Bud Caulfield....Soo many laughs!!! Everyone loved you!!! Aah...Those were the good old days...
