Delores Jeanne "Lorrie" Messina

Delores Jeanne "Lorrie" Messina, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the dear former spouse and close friend of Vito, with whom she shared many meaningful years. Loving mother of Vito (Patricia) Messina and Delores Messina. Proud grandmother of Jonathan and Jacob. Beloved sister of the late Larry. She was also the cherished companion of Mike Morrow, who brought great joy and companionship into her later years.

Lorrie was a remarkably multitalented woman whose life was as vibrant and creative as she was. A gifted professional hair stylist, she shared her expertise as an instructor at Michigan College of Beauty, Anthony's Beauty Academy, and International Beauty Academy School of Cosmetology, inspiring countless students over the years. Her skill and artistry were recognized nationally, earning award-winning honors for both Hair and Nail design in Las Vegas competitions.

Her creativity extended far beyond cosmetology. Lorrie was an accomplished doll maker, earning Erickson's Best Original Doll Award with the very first doll she ever created-an early sign of the talent she carried effortlessly. She was also a sculptor, a singer, a magazine photographer, and a gifted seamstress who lovingly crafted suits and clothing for her family. Ever curious and skilled with her hands, she even contributed her abilities within the field of professional dental work. Her life was a tapestry of artistry, craftsmanship, and imagination.

Lorrie will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her creativity, and her deep love for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the countless people she taught, the art she created, and the warm memories she leaves behind.

Visitation will take place Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, MI.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00am at the funeral home, with visitation beginning at 9:00am.
