I will always remember going over to grandmas house with Derek, and playing with toys, and the huge stuffed alligator she had, and holding sparklers for the first time in her back yard... she always made me feel like family, and I always loved her like my grandma, no matter how long it had been since we had seen each other. My heart goes out to you Deb, Ryan, Derek, Stacie, Levi, and family. I love you all, and I will miss grandma; thank you for sharing her with me.

This photo was taken June 2023 in Nashville. We were getting ready to go out to dinner at a local restaurant in the older part of Nashville.
I will miss you so much Delores and all the fun times we had together. You will be missed but never forgotten. I will see you on the other side. You've earned your wings, fly high! Love you always, sister Kathy

So many wonderful memories of time spent with my sweet sister Delores. I was 7 years old when Delores married Dave and moved to Weiser. Later in life we would travel to Jamestown, ND to spend time with our mom, Juletta and it was during those times that I really got to know Delores. She had many stories to tell of the times when we were younger, one of those stories was the time when I was 2 years old, and I wandered off and no one could find me until they found me asleep in the chicken coop! Geez!! Now I understand why I have a fear of chickens!!
Another time we had arrived at our mom's apartment, and we wanted to open a bottle of wine. Mom had this crummy wine opener, and we couldn't get the cork out. I knelt on the floor with the bottle of wine between my knees and Delores was pulling on the wine opener. All 3 of us were laughing! We finally got that cork out of the bottle of wine! The next day we went to the "Bottle Shop" and bought a decent wine bottle opener!
So many fun trips to Vegas! We searched out the "Elvis" slot machines at every casino we visited. Delores and I did wine tasting at the "Rio" wine cellar, now that was a great time! We rode the gondola at the Rio, toured the artifacts of the "Titanic" on display at the MGM. We went to an Elvis impersonator contest at Sam's Town. We went to the "Beatle's Love Show" at the Mirage. Even though Delores wasn't a huge Beatle's fan like me, she was still a great sport and went with me. I loved it!
I'm so glad that Delores joined the Nashville trip in June 2023. We had such a great time, and toured the Nashville Hall of Fame Museum, took a trolley tour around Nashville to see the sights, went to the Grand Ole' Opry and watched Tanya Tucker perform and many other up and coming country western singers. We celebrated my 73rd birthday at 60 Vines, had some great wine and delicious dinner! We toured the Belle Meade Slave Plantation near Nashville. We had a wonderful time, great memories!
