Delores Stellrecht Obituary

Delores Stellrecht

April 2, 1942 - October 19, 2025

Delores Evelyn Stellrecht was born April 2, 1942, to Marion Wolcott and Florence Albertina (Bjurman) Roe in Shell Lake, WI and grew up on a farm outside of town. Raised in a Christian home, her father always arranged a way for Delores and her younger brother, Russell to attend Green Grove Alliance Church where at the age of nine Delores accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord.

Delores attended the Bashaw Brook Elementary School. Following her graduation from Shell Lake High School in 1960 she moved to St. Paul, MN where she worked at Brown and Bigalow and then Remington Rand.

Delores married Donald Stellrecht July 25, 1964. They lived in Ellsworth, WI and after starting a family purchased a home in Hager City, WI where Delores was a homemaker and raised their three children, Julie, Jay, and Jeff. As they entered Jr. High and High School she began working at a chiropractor's office in Red Wing, MN.

She and Don served the Lord together from the beginning of their marriage. They were charter members of Lake Park Alliance Church in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, as well as charter members of Red Wing Alliance Church in Red Wing, MN. Throughout the years Delores served faithfully in numerous ways-as an organist, Sunday School and VBS teacher, women's ministry and Bible study leader, and camp cook. She also served in leadership roles in Alliance Women, Christian Women's Clubs, and College of Prayer.

Delores was creative and expressed this through her many hobbies including cooking and baking, decorating, crafting, cardmaking, knitting, sewing, and more. She also enjoyed traveling, playing games with family and friends, doing puzzles, and reading.

Following retirement, Delores and Don returned to live in the home they built on Spooner Lake where Delores loved to entertain and host family and friends. In 2019 they moved to Shell Lake, WI. Don and Delores celebrated 59 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2023.

Delores passed peacefully into her Savior's presence October 19, 2025, with her family by her side.

Delores is survived by her three children, Julie (John) Federer, Jay (Nancy) Stellrecht, and Jeff (Sheryl) Stellrecht; her grandchildren, Jordan (Kelsey) Federer, Joanna (Adam) Thomas, Robin (Josh) Nelson, Erin (Eric) Lundstrom, Corinna, Lucas, and Isaac Stellrecht, Michaela and Alexandra Stellrecht, Spencer (Karli) O'Reilly, Quentin (Alyssa) O'Reilly, Isabella O'Reilly, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Russell (Jan) Roe and sisters-in-law, Jane Shambour, and Valerie (Terry) Huffman. She leaves behind her constant and faithful canine companion, Pepper as well.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10-11am at Lake Park Alliance Church, 53 3rd St, Shell Lake, WI 54871. A memorial service will follow at 11am.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the ongoing ministries of Lake Park Alliance Church.
