In loving memory of Delores S. Thompson, whose vibrant spirit graced this world from July 3, 1948, until her passing on September 30, 2024, at her residence in Fort Worth, Texas. Born in the quaint of Ponta, Texas, Delores embodied warmth and joy that radiated to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Her life was a rich tapestry woven with threads of laughter, love, and camaraderie. She possessed a vivacious personality that turned ordinary days into grand celebrations. Her fondness for playing cards and dominoes became legendary among friends and family, where she often showcased her sharp wit and unmatched competitive spirit. Each game became an opportunity for stories, laughter, and cherished memories that will echo in the hearts of those who continue her legacy.
Delores was also a devoted fan of America’s beloved football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Her Sundays were often spent cheering passionately from her seat, wrapped in the thrill of the game, her eyes sparkling with the excitement of each touchdown. This fervor revealed her dedication to both family and tradition, sealing her in our hearts as not just a mother but a beacon of family reunions and joyous gatherings.
She leaves behind a loving family: her beloved daughter, Veronica Bell, and her three devoted sons, Timothy Thompson, Tony Thompson, and Marlon Thompson. The bond she shared with her children was a testament to her nurturing spirit, as she imparted her vivacity and zest for life to each of them, inspiring them to pursue their passions with fervor.
As we gather to celebrate Delores's remarkable life, the viewing will be held on October 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home and Cremation in Fort Worth, Texas. The funeral service will follow on October 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.
Delores S. Thompson may have departed from this world, but her memory will continue to illuminate our lives eternally.
