FRENCHTOWN ~ Deloris Lue Block was born in Williams, Minnesota on April 21, 1940, to John and LuElla Block. She was the third child and first daughter. She is survived by her eldest brother John Harry Block (wife Marilyn Fauscher), brother Warren Block (wife Darlyne Barrick), younger brother Paul Karl Block, and youngest sister Jane Roxenne Western (husband William Western). In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Jeanette Larson Block (husband Delbert Lloyd Block deceased), and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lori was the cherished first daughter and enjoyed living on the farm in northern Minnesota with her family. She was delighted when a baby sister arrived when she was nine. After her graduation from Williams High School in 1958, she moved to the Twin Cities and worked for Schaper Toys. She excelled as a department head for the company that is famous for the “Cootie Bug” games. When the company was sold in 1987, she fulfilled her lifelong dream and moved to Missoula, MT and joined her family there. Her brothers worked together and built her an A-frame home on a pond outside Frenchtown. She then worked as a custodian for Frenchtown Schools until she retired in 2006.
She enjoyed the wildlife in all seasons on the pond. She enjoyed gardening and photography. Lori also had two much loved dogs that she enjoyed for many years.
Lori had a strong and enduring love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ since she was very young. She followed and witnessed for her Lord to many people in the Frenchtown area. She was a great sister. She was preceded in death by her parents John and LuElla Block, brothers Delbert Block, Peter Block, and great nephew David Block.
