Deloris Gale Johnson

Deloris "Dee" Johnson, age 71, of Portland, TN passed away Monday, May 1st, 2023. She was born on June 25th, 1951, to parents, Carl Quincy Grizzard and Alice Katryne Waggoner Alford, in Indian Mound, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Grizzard and Alice Waggoner Alford, her sisters, Carlene Torsak and Glendan Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Spain, and her second husband, Robert L. Johnson. Deloris "Dee" Johnson is survived by her son, Tommy Spain Jr., daughter, Andrea Powell, and stepdaughter, Tammy Richards. Dee is survived by her five sisters and four brothers: Debbie Braham, Dianne Wyman, Pam Dube, Ruby Stewart Vea, Polly Grizzard, Robert Grizzard, Carl Grizzard, Robert Earl Grizzard, and Johnny Grizzard. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Richards, Kodi Richards, Hunter Richards, and Shayna Marie Konst, as well as three great grandchildren.
Dee was said to have been a caring and loving woman, who loved spending time with her friends and family. She loved to spend time crocheting, making items like throws and blankets. Dee even had a passion for movies, collecting and watching the great classics and westerns of her time. A special past time of hers would be sitting and playing with her puppy Ozzie. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.
A memorial visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Sunday, May 21st, 2023, from 10am to 12pm with a memorial service to start at 12pm. Burial to follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
