Deloris “Lois” Ann Roark, age 78, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at her home. She was born April 13, 1946 to the late Garnett and Ruby Gentry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Barb Lipford and Betty Trivett, and brothers, Wade Gentry and Billy Jay Gentry. 

 

Lois had a contagious smile that was always on display with good company. Her family was her world and spending time with them was her favorite pass time. She loved family beach trips and shopping in Pigeon Forge. Lois was well known for owning a beauty salon and she adored all her clients she got close to over many years. 

 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 55 years, Grady Roark; daughters, Lisa Greer (Starling) and Bobbie Jo Brooks; sisters, Kathy Thomas (Ken) and Diannah Gentry (Glenn Stewart); grandchildren, Joe Greer, Jessica Cornett (Matt), Katelin Brooks, and Hannah Shepherd (Nate); great-grandchild, Addie Faye; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, JoAnn Reece and Shirley Campbell. 

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 6:30 with Pastor Anthony Roark officiating.
