Deloris Crum- Stanley

1955 - 2023

Pastor Deloris C. Stanley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Odell and Ethel Crum, was born in Denmark, South Carolina, October 5, 1955. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 25, 2023. Pastor Stanley was married to the "Love of her Life," Deacon St. Clair Stanley, for 51 years, and they were blessed with four children.
Pastor Deloris Stanley attended Zion Hill, Springfield, and Franklin United Methodist Church during her early years, and later joined the City of Refuge where she was a faithful member. Deloris loved the Lord and enjoyed giving God the Praise through Word, Testimony, and Song. She was known for always trying to help others because she was a "Servant at Heart." She lived by the words, "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living will not be in vain".
After becoming ordained as a Deaconess in 2003 and a Pastor in 2013, Pastor Deloris Stanley was ordained as a Prophetess in 2015. Pastor Stanley was called to preach the Gospel nine years ago, along with her husband, Deacon St. Clair Stanley, Sr. In 2013, she founded and pastored Faith Action Ministries, 2527 Church Street, Denmark, SC. She was blessed with a fivefold ministry, and took pride in allowing others to know and see the love of God through her ministry. Pastor Delores Stanley lived by the scripture, John 13:3-4, "That ye love one another as I have loved you."
Pastor Deloris Stanley, was a "Helper at Heart". She volunteered with the Community Rural Art Work League, better known as "Crawl" in Bamberg County since 2018, and "Growing COB (Calhoun, Orangeburg, Bamberg). Pastor Stanley and her daughter, Gidget Stanley, were the first mother-daughter team to work side by side for the Denmark Rescue Squad. Stanley was a proud 1973 graduate of Denmark-Olar High School. During her career, she was a dedicated employee at Sunbeam Corporation, Grace Residential Living Facility, America Yard Products, and Dayco Products, LLC until her retirement in 1999.
Pastor Stanley was a hands-on Mother and Grandmother. All of her grandchildren adored her. She led her immediate family, many friends, and even strangers to Christ because her faith was unwavering. Known as "Measles" to her family and friends who knew her well, Deloris was loved by all as a Blessed Encourager and Uplifter throughout communities. Many families entrusted her with the care of their loved ones, and her kind deeds and devotion will never be forgotten. Pastor Stanley's family and friends knew that she was willing to share whatever she had with those who were in need. Her talents included cooking wonderful meals, feeding others, gardening, nurturing children and the elderly, and last, but paramount in her life, "Preaching the Gospel." She blessed many with a smile, her love, and her prayers.
Pastor Stanley was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Gidget Lashawn Stanley, her brother, Odell Crum, sister, Judy Prophet, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Crum, Sr.
Deloris leaves to cherish beautiful memories, her loving and devoted husband, Deacon St. Clair Stanley, Sr. of the home; two faithful daughters, Wyvonia Jenkins, Denmark, SC & Doneka (Rodney) Booker, Chesapeake, VA; one doting son, St. Clair (Crystal) Stanley, Jr., Denmark, SC; three grandchildren raised in the home, Yetale Stanley, Jairus (Ashley) Tyler, Govan, SC, and ZyKenya Stanley, one Goddaughter, SaTara Jenkins, Denmark, SC; four sisters, Prophetess Dorothy (Bishop Hezekiah Wroten), North Augusta, SC, and Annette Crum, Lisha Crum, Michelle (Michael) Crum, all of Denmark, SC; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; two Aunts, Maggie Ruth Hall, Wilmington, NC and Azalee Hiss, Denmark, SC; one Uncle, David Holman, 2 brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
