Funeral services for Mrs. Delrena May (Parnell) Richardson, age 83, of Orr, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.
Delrena May Richardson was born on October 6, 1942, in Pharr, Texas, to the late Marvin Henry Parnell and Lucy Fay (Johnson) Parnell. She passed away peacefully at her home in Orr on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Raised in Ringling and Courtney, Mrs. Richardson attended most of her school years in Ringling. She was married to Melvin Gregg until his passing and there after married Marion Richardson, he too preceded her in death. Delrena and Marion resided in Orr, where she remained in the community. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, sewing, and crafting quilt tops.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marion Richardson and Melvin Gregg; daughter, Verna Janice Brinkley; sisters, Corene and Genevee; grandsons, Daniel and Douglas Calhoun; brother, Jody Malone; and granddaughter, Shasta Herrera.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosie Rotrekl of Bowie, Texas; Georgia Kathleen Brinkley of Ringling, Oklahoma; Delley Lee Brinkley of Dickinson, Texas; Glenda Kay Johnston of Decatur, Texas; and Clarissa Joy Brenan and husband Ron of Ringling, Oklahoma. Also surviving are her son, George William Brinkley, Jr., and wife Kathy of Bowie, Texas; siblings Judy Burk of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Ruth Jansen of Livingston, Texas; Daisy Fondren of Missouri; Elvis Fondren of Duncan; and Michael Malone of Lampe, Missouri. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.alexandergrayfh.com.
