Deluvina Montoya, a beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully in November 2025 at the age of 91. Born in July 1934, Deluvina lived a long and faith-filled life centered on family, devotion, and strength.
A devout Catholic, Deluvina’s faith guided her through every joy and hardship. She was the heart of her family, known for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love. Her home was always a place of welcome, filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, laughter, and prayer.
Deluvina was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Montoya, who passed in 1998, as well as her sons Clem, Adam, and Johnny, and daughters Theresa and Maxine. Though she endured profound loss, she faced life with grace and courage, always finding strength in her faith and in the love of her family.
She is survived by her sons Richard and Pete, and her daughter Dolores, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will continue to cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and family unity.
Deluvina’s life will be celebrated at a Rosary and Funeral Mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her loved ones in God’s eternal embrace.
The pallbearers who will have the honor to carry Mrs. Montoya will be: Johnny Anthony Serna, Isiah Mateo Canamar, Leroy Jinzo, Richard A. Jinzo, Daniel Perea, Monique Garcia, Jojo Sandoval & Epi Archuleta; honorary pallbearers are: Valentino O. Garcia & Joseph Perea.
