Delvina Mae Patrick

Delvina "Del" Mae Patrick, age 65, of Goetzville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Harborview Assisted Living and Hospice Care in Detour, Michigan.
Our Del was born on April 18, 1958, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Roman and Joyce (Bosley) Patrick.
Del grew up in Stalwart, Michigan, and graduated from Pickford High School with the class of 1976.
She worked many jobs over the years and was a very motivated and intelligent woman. Following high school Del studied business for two years at Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She became an expert in systems analysis which led her to her career with her husband Hugh. Together they built a successful international import cheese business. Del retired from her career in 2022.
After retirement, Del was able to enjoy her various interests, and hobbies which she loved very much and brought her a great deal of joy. These interests included a deep love of animals and gardening. Another interest was archeology and history which she spent a great deal of time reading and researching. Del had a lifelong love for her dogs and enjoyed many over the years. A very special dog to her had the name of Kaos. Del's husband said lovingly that he is sure 'Kaos greeted her upon her entrance into Heaven!" Del was a gardener who grew absolutely perfect, beautiful flowers which were a combination of annual and perennial types, and we can't forget houseplants! Del once had an award-winning flower garden when she lived in Stockton Springs, Maine. This summer, Del had the most gorgeous plants all around their beautiful home in Stalwart. One more thing that needs to be mentioned...Football, football, football! Del loved football and was not missing any game for anything! She was glued to the TV and loved every minute of it!
Del is survived by, her loving husband of 25 years, Hugh Speier; four stepchildren, the one who she helped raise is Jasper; six siblings, three sisters and three brothers; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly. Del enjoyed spending time with her family who are scattered all over the world.
Del was preceded in Heaven by her parents, Roman and Joyce Patrick; grandparents, including Mary Bosley who meant so much to Del; and her favorite Aunt and namesake, Delvina "Babe" Bosley.
There will be a private viewing for the family.
