Dena Michelle Burns

Dena Michelle Burns, known by many as "Chelle", 54, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at her residence.
She was born February 26, 1968, in Albany, Georgia, to Fred and Carol Coley. She was the middle of three children. She was married to the love of her life, Kenneth Burns, for 34 years.
Dena worked as a CNA and enjoyed helping people inside and outside of work. She loved cooking, being outdoors doing yard work, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Carol and Fred Coley, husband Kenneth Burns, and niece Maggie Aaron.
Dena is survived by her daughter, Toni Burns; grandchildren, Piper, Juliet, and Athena; sisters, Pamela Coley and Reta Wilkinson; step-mother, Paula Coley; along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and close friends.
Service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 8, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel, with Pastor Charlie Coley officiating. She will be laid to rest in Sims Cemetery with a private committal.
