Don Bloodworth and Crystal Palmer officiating. A memorial trust fund has been set up at Prosperity Bank for Denay’s sons. If you wish, please deposit your donation into account # 217635081 c/o Devi Ludewell.
Denay was born June 4, 1990, in Toms River, New Jersey to Devi Ludewell and Joseph Birnie. She had an amazingly huge heart, she loved her boys and her family more than anything. Denay had a beautiful and bubbly personality, she loved anything that gave her a chance to smile and be goofy in her own way. To express her personality a little more, her uncle Tracy called her Dumbnay, and she loved it.
Denay was a fierce competitor in her younger years. She really loved to dance and that love caused her to become a medal winning dancer. She had an exuberant amount of energy but was a deep thinker who always seemed to think outside the box. Denay had her ups and downs and lots of inner struggles, but no matter what... she always knew who her family was. She was a good person who had a bright future ahead if she would have been able to accept it. When she set her mind on something for good or for bad, she would get it. She will always be a part of our lives and it’s a great loss to all of us to have to say goodbye way too soon.
Denay is survived by her mother, Devi Ludewell; father, Joe Birnie; sons, Jayden, Devin and Brenden; brothers, Steven Rozek and Joey Birnie; fiancé, Tim Moon; aunt, Rhonda; uncle, Tracy; aunt, Debbi; and uncle, Tim; grandparents, Connie Murphy and Bob and Jeanie Garvin; Denay is also survived by many cousins and loved ones.
