Denice M. Godfrey

Denice Godfrey, age 54, of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026.

Denice was a gentle and loving soul whose warmth, laughter, and smile brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Her time with us was truly a gift, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who loved her. Beautiful inside and out, she had a compassionate and generous heart that touched countless lives. Denice was a true light—her presence brought comfort, joy, and sunshine, and she will always be remembered for the love she gave so freely.

She found great happiness in cooking and took pride in sharing meals with family and friends, believing food was one of the many ways to show love. Making others smile came naturally to her, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Denice was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Cavallaro, and is lovingly survived by her mother, Patricia Cavallaro; her sister, Patricia Cavallaro; and her daughters, DrewAnn Godfrey, Emma Godfrey, and Alexandria Godfrey; Niece, Stephanie Cavallaro.

Denice will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friends at her wake, 4-7pm Tuesday January 13th at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) On Wednesday morning, assemble at the Dewey Ave. gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 10:15 am for her Inurnment at 10:30am in the chapel of All Saints Mausoleum.
