My dear, sweet Denis. Even through our too-many years apart, I never stopped loving you. I am so grateful to have finally been able to visit with you twice last year, and was looking forward to accepting your invitation to be with you again this year. Our continued communication was a Godsend. Unfortunately, God wanted you home before we could resume our love. I never, ever stopped loving you. I've lost you twice. I am heartbroken. Rest in peace, love of my life. I'm fairly certain I will see you soon.

Denis:
I will dearly miss you brother. We always had a great time with our yearly hunting trips through the years; the normal campfire trash talk, while our plastic chairs melt beneath us from the hot fire. One year we simplified cooking by taking a microwave and generator, with microwave breakfast/dinners. We found out quickly altitude and cold weather pretty much kills a microwave. Another year, our dear brother, Gary, brought up firewood to camp in the form of wax coated banana boxes which once stacked 8-10 boxes high almost melted the paint on my trailer and could have caused a forest fire.

Then there was the time Denis's friend, who was very good at bear calling, decided one night to get other campers nearby excited. He went into the brush outside our camp and made bear noises, shaking a few small trees and ran back to our campfire. Sure enough, about 4-5 hunters claimed they heard the noise, and excitedly confirmed they had bear tags, and were going to check it out. Too bad they came back empty handed. Anyway, I can go on and on but life with my brother was always a great joy and never a dull moment!

Denis, I love you dearly and thank you for all the fond memories throughout the years. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Heavenly peace my dear brother.

Kim Hunstead.
