Denise Brown

Pamela Denise Brown, age 65 of Beacon Light Road in Hartwell, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 at NEGA Medical Center, Gainesville. She was born on June 22, 1958 in Greenville, South Carolina to Mr. Lewis Wood and Mrs. Ellen Clary Wood. She received her masters in social work and enjoyed her job as a social worker. She loved to cross stitch, read, going to church and loved her family. She attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her father Lewis Wood and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clary. 

She is survived by her loving husband Steve Brown of Hartwell Georgia; her mother Ellen Clary Wood,  children, Brande Brown of New York and Heather (Adam) Long of Clarkesville, TN, her siblings, Tim Wood, Steve Wood, Sharon Williams and Ronald Wood, and three grandchildren: Madison Long, Micah Long and Gwen Long. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors Chapel, 333 E Johnson Street, Hartwell, georgia 30643 with Pastor Jason Webb officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
