Denise D'Amico

Denise D'Amico, 78 of Polk Township, Kunkletown, PA passed away Saturday, December 28, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital Carbon Campus in Lehighton, PA.

Denise was born in New York City, NY on June 30, 1947, daughter of the late Alfred and Antoinette (Feriola) Mellano.

She was the wife of the late Joseph A. D'Amico who preceded her in death on April 1, 2017.

Denise was the co-owner of Focus Community Newspaper in Kresgeville, PA for 31 years.

We have been blessed with the presence of Denise in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Pauline Roberti and spouse Dennis of Kunkletown, PA, Alfred "Bobby" Mellano and spouse Ida of Apopka, FL and Dennis Mellano of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by a sister-in-law: Emily Walkerwicz and spouse Andrew of Arizona, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law: Dean Brotzman, Nicholas D'Amico, sisters in law: Hazel Mellano and Delia Cipriani and spouse Frank.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA with Pastor Jennifer Eckhart officiating.

Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Denise will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg, PA.
