Denise Ann Dennis, 72, of Dartmouth, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, daughter of the late Charles and Ida Mae (DeGrasse) Dennis, she lived in New Bedford and Mattapoisett most of her life.
Denise enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, word searches, reading and in her younger years rollerblading. She liked visiting Ned's Point and spending time at the Mattapoisett Town Beach.
Denise was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include her son, John "Mikey" Silva, Jr., and his wife Kim of New Bedford; her siblings, Sharleen Mendes, Charles E. Dennis, Jr., and his wife Teresa, Kim Rae Dennis, Michael Dennis, and Yolanda Dennis and her fiancé Shain Ramos; her granddaughter, Jenna Silva; and several nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hours will be held Monday March 9, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
