Denise Yvette Gray, age 57, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. Born on January 7, 1968, in Red Bank, New Jersey, Denise was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene Gray and the late Evelyn Gray. Affectionately known as "Neicy" by those who loved her, she graduated from Red Bank Regional High School in 1986. Throughout her life, Neicy wore many hats and worked in various occupations, always with care and compassion. Her most recent place of employment was Brandywine Assisted Living in Colts Neck, New Jersey. She was also a devoted member of TRUE Deliverance Worship Center in Roxboro, North Carolina. Neicy had a deep love for her family and took great joy in spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, decorating her home, and creating beautiful memories with those closest to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Evelyn Gray; her grandparents, James Crank Sr. and Lula Mae Crank; and her uncle, James Crank Jr. Neicy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She is survived by her sister, Manisha "Nikki" Golson (Darren) of Greensboro, NC; brothers Antoine "Tony" Gray (Eleanor) of Neptune, NJ, and Eugene Gray "Peanut" Jr (Carol) of Woodbridge, NJ; nieces Mia Lankford of Cliffwood, NJ, Shonise Sloan of Neptune, NJ, Tindra Gray of Edison, NJ, Tatiyana Singh, and McKenna Golson, both of Greensboro, NC; nephews Antoine Sloan of Neptune, NJ and Eugene S. Gray III of North Brunswick, NJ; great- nephew Za'sean Gray of Edison, NJ; and her dear aunt, Jennifer Wathington of Aberdeen, NJ.
She will also be lovingly remembered by a host of other family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generous spirit To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Denise Gray, please visit our Tree Store.
