Denise Harbison Obituary
Denise Ann Harbison, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 3 at the age of 65.
Much like the sunsets she loved, Denise had a way of filling a room with warmth and color. Known for her infectious smile and kind heart, she found her greatest peace near the water, watching dolphins play in the canal-a pastime that reflected her gentle, observant spirit.
She was perhaps best known for her love of a good, long talk on the phone. Whether it was a quick morning check-in or a multi-hour catch-up, she was the heartbeat of her circle. Denise was the one you could always count on to call-ready to share a laugh, offer the latest gossip, or simply chitchat. To receive a call from Denise was to know you were truly cared for. Her radiant smile and the sound of her voice on the other end of the line will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Palmer, who was her partner in every sunset and every important moment for the past 43 years. Her legacy of love continues through her children: Allison (Ben), Weston (Michelle), and Joe (Raimie). She is also survived by her sisters, Denel, Bridgette, and Delon. Denise was a proud and loving grandmother to Alexia, Maliea, Elijah, Mason, Layla, Henry, Ryan, and Vincent, who were her greatest joy. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Kayla, Kelsey, Mike, Amber, and Austin. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wes; her mother, Diann; and her beloved Aunt Jeannie.
In honor of her love for the phone and her gift for staying connected, the family asks that you take a moment to call a loved one-to check in, share a laugh, or say "I love you." There is no better way to honor Denise's memory than to keep the lines of connection open, just as she always did.
