Denise Lornson

Denise L. Lornson, age 63, of Pickerel, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her home under the care of her family and Compassus Hospice. She was born on March 29, 1962 in Appleton. She was a graduate of Appleton East High School, class of 1981.
Denise spent the last 20 years with the love of her life, Allen Meier. Together they owned Final Lap Bar in Pickerel, a place she loved to decorate for every holiday and a place where friends became family. She provided meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas for those who needed a place to go.
She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle having taken many trips across the country with Allan. She also enjoyed camping.
Denise was a phenomenal grandmother who cherished time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica (Matt) Beyer of Black Creek; Allan Meier and his children, Sara (Jake) Schilling and Ryan (Courtney) Meier; grandchildren, Tanner, Kiersten, Cadence, Brock, Nora, Abel, and Maddy; a brother, Len (Marge) Stammer; five sisters, Betty Whiteley, Judy (Lance) Johnson, Debbie (Joe) Bushman, Wendy (Jeff) Krull, and Karen Vallafskey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many very close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Stammer; mother, Frances (Stammer) Kelly; and a niece, Crista Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at Final Lap.
The family is thankful and grateful for the wonderful care provided by the staff of Compassus Hospice.
