My heartfelt condolences to Celeste Lukowski her sister, her beautiful daughter Celeste Polonski with family and the entire Lukowski family. Denice was such a wonderful lady with a beautiful heart. She loved her family and her grandchildren wholeheartedly, they were everything to her.
In her world travels, and to Medjugorje, Town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she remembered her wonderful peaceful place of worship of Holly Face Monastery in Clifton, so she brought statue of
St. Mary...it can be found in a Hall of Saints, to this days it inspires and heals those in need.
How thoughtful of her. Words can't express the void we are all feeling at this time.
Until we meet again, Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady.
RIP.

Denise was my therapist at Comprehensive Counseling Center. I'm a voice hearer. She was the most amazing therapist I ever had and I still can't stop crying that she's gone. She said I was her favorite patient and gave me The Red Book as a gift. I never imagined the last time I saw her was going to be the very last time. I will miss her greatly.

Denise was a great colleague and even a better friend and surrogate mom. You truly left the world in a better place than when you entered it. Because of you dozens (maybe even hundreds) of Veterans are no longer behind bars and are living life under better circumstances. I miss our conversations and your spiritual guidance. But I know that you are in a better place and reunited with the one who you loved most, the Blessed Mother. Enjoy your time home. Rest In Peace.

Denise was a competent, caring and visionary employee at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She expanded the Veterans Justice Outreach program from its inception in one court to include multiple courts, programs and jails across four NY City boroughs. She dedicated herself to helping many Veterans recover their footing in society, and helped clear obstacles from their paths. She not only developed a great program, but she trained police officers about Veterans and did numerous public speaking engagements about her work. She was a kind and generous colleague, trustworthy and purposeful, and she also always kept a sense of humor. Her untimely passing came as a shock to all who knew her and she is greatly missed already by her colleagues.

Denise lived a life of meaning and purpose that was built on a foundation of spiritual faith, devotion to family, service to the community, and compassion for humankind. She was a steadfast friend and a light to the world. May she rest in peace, and may we be inspired by the example she set. Condolences to her beloved family, her many dear friends and colleagues, and the veterans community.

My family & I had the honor of knowing Denise for 6 years. She had a profound impact on our family & she will be very missed. She was a dedicated & kind soul that gave so generously to those around her.
Throughout the years, she often spoke of her family & when she did it was with great affection & pride.

A lifetime dedication to service, in defense of the defenseless. Denise Lukowski stands among the noblest human beings I've ever had the honor of knowing. Semper Fidelis old friend.
