Salerno’s Funeral Home-Rosedale Chapel - RoselleDenise Mihok, born on June 20, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on November 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends. A beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and loyal sister, Denise embodied kindness and compassion, nurturing those around her with her gentle spirit.
Denise, a proud member of the Macioce family, remained close to her roots throughout her life. She was the daughter of the late John Macioce and Carol Macioce, and from her, she inherited a deep sense of family values that guided her actions every day. She is survived by her much-loved mother, Carol, and her two brothers, John (Kelle) Macioce and Frank (Rhonda) Macioce, who rejoice in fond memories of laughter and togetherness that they shared.
Married to Edward Mihok, Denise found love and partnership, creating a beautiful family that was the joy of her life. Together, they welcomed three wonderful children into this world: BreeAnne (John) Gittings, Alyssa Mihok, and Eddie Mihok, each carrying a piece of her heart. Her love as a mother was unwavering, providing support, guidance, and unconditional affection, allowing her children to grow into strong individuals.
Denise's family extended into many beloved relatives, including her dear aunt, Carol Eldorado, her uncles, Frank (Emma) Vale and George McBean, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who cherished her presence and radiant smile. Though they will miss her deeply, they find solace in the treasured memories of holidays, family gatherings, and the simple moments filled with joy and laughter.
As Denise embarks on her next journey, her light will remain ever-present in the lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, Illinois. The visitation will be held on December 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing all who knew and loved her to gather and share in the stories and moments that defined her life. A prayer service will take place the following morning, December 12, beginning at 9:45 AM. Denise will be honored with a Mass at St. Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale at 10:45 AM.
Denise Mihok's legacy of love, laughter, and family will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Her kind spirit, unwavering loyalty, and nurturing nature will continue to inspire those she left behind. Rest in peace, dear Denise; you will be forever missed.
