The DiBraccio family is very sad to hear that Denise has passed. She will always be a part of the memories that we have of CCHS. Surely a new star is lighting up the heavens.

I met Denise when we worked for Amerimar in 1999. She and I loved fashion, adored Paris and practiced our French together, loved our dogs and bonded over our very difficult bosses we worked for. In addition to sharing the same name, she told me how she acquired her name from her Dad when he was in France. We took many walks around Cooper River together and discussed music, theater and so much else. Ma chère amie, you will be missed.

My fondest and lasting memory of Denise was in Sound of Music at Camden Catholic. She was "the baroness," and absolutely stole the show. It was the first play I ever attended at 13 years old and I can still picture her floating across the stage in her beautiful gowns. Her performance was impeccable. I even remember how her hair was styled! I was mesmerized! Denise "always" stole the show. This force of nature will be dearly missed.

The first time I glimpsed her was on a warm, summer night through the open door of her living room. One wall of the room was completely covered in a hat collection and there were several people, including an accordionist accompanying the amazing vocalist who serenaded her family with the most beautiful version of "Strangers in the Night". I was only 5 or 6 years old when I became enamored of Denise and her amazing gift. This was the summer of 66.
