Paul, Jennie and Becky,
I was so sorry to hear about Denise. What a lovely lady she was. Some of my fondest memories of Denise are from our days in Welcome Wagon and the Berea Jaycees.
One year, she was my secret friend in our club. She knew my love of cheesecake and she baked me one and left it as a surprise behind our front door. The real surprise came when I found it! It was an unusually warm February day, and the yummy treat was covered in ants!! When Denise found out, she immediately replaced it with another cake, and true to her sense of humor, she sprinkled chocolate jimmies on top to represent the ants. I can still hear her little giggle. What good times we shared!
