Denise Marie Smarsh

Denise Marie (Murtha) Smarsh, 61, of Sandy Lake, formerly of Boston, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born September 29, 1962 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Esther Marie (Reinhard) Murtha of Keyser, WV., and the late Kenneth John Murtha. Denise worked for the Sandy Lake Vacation Land Camp Ground. She loved Country Music, Red Nails and Thunderstorms. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Lindsey R. (Max School) Coffman of Elizabeth Township, sister, Colleen Bock of Keyser, WV., brothers, David (Carol) Murtha of Punta Gorda, FL., and Andrew (Holly) Murtha of Boston, nieces, nephews, her former husband, Joseph Smarsh, and her faithful dog, Lulu. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachael Anne Coffman and brother-in-law, Edward W. Bock, Jr. Friends are welcome Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 4-7 pm. at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
