Denise, you were so strong and brave. And you struggled so hard. I have never seen a mother be so strong for her children.....may you rest in peace knowing they will never forget how you loved them even through your own pain.

You were my first ALS friend and I admired your spunk tremendously! Your journey broke my heart. Now you are free from your struggle and resting in God's loving arms. Much love and prayers for you & your family.

I was just thinking about Denise and while looking how to contact her found out she passed away today. My heart aches. I met Denise in 3rd grade. I remember going over to her house to play in the basement. I moved away in the beginning of 8th grade, so didn't get to spend teen years in Cicero/Chicago area. Denise and I chatted a bit when I had Facebook, but I don't go on social media anymore. My deepest condolences to her family.
