Denise Dawn Morris Wilson, 52, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 25, 1973; daughter of Patricia Whitlow Morris and the late James Brent "J.B." Morris. She worked for the Department of Community Based Services. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending hours in the kitchen lovingly preparing meals for family and friends, delighting in shopping for her cherished grandbaby, and unwinding with classic sitcoms that never failed to make her smile. Her warmth and creativity shone through in every dish she made, every thoughtful gift she chose, and every shared moment of laughter. These everyday joys reflected her generous spirit and the deep love she held for those around her.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Reggie Wilson whom she married on March 2, 1995; her sons, Austin Storm & (Morgan) Wilson, and Macon James Wilson; her granddaughter, Blake Wilson; her mother, Patricia Whitlow Morris; a brother, Scott Morris; three nieces, Chasity Morris, Andrea Johnson, and Brittany & (Marshall) Haydon; a sister-in-law, Stephane & (James Eddie) Benge; four great-nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025 and after 9 AM Saturday, July 19, 2025 until time for services.
