Denni and I met when she was working at the Jewel where I shop. If she was there, I would wait in her line even if there were other less busy lines. I enjoyed talking with her. When she told me that she was retiring, I suggested that we have lunch some time. And we did, the first of many. We talked for hours, mostly about our families. Eventually, we added dinners with our husbands. She was always smiling. And interested in everything. If she needed clarification, she would say, "Wait a minute!" She was a wonderful woman, and I will miss her.

I worked with Denni & Bill at Lemont True Value- Denni taught me the proper way to fluff a Christmas tree and I ended up doing seminars on tree shaping at my new job at Ace Hardware. She always expected the best from you. She would inspect your work when merchandising and do the White Glove test to make sure you cleaned the shelves first. She made me a better person and will always remember her. Denni, Bill and I went to Chicago to order Christmas items for the store. Many people brought their family members there. If anyone asked I just said they´re my mom and dad. I loved the family feeling of working at the store with them, was very sad when the store closed! Below is a picture of our 22 year reunion.
