Dennis Blackburn Obituary
Those who knew Dennis know he believed that music heals, laughter lightens your burdens, and kindness is paramount. He was a beacon of these values throughout his life.
His 40-year career at Tacachale profoundly impacted many lives, as he combined his passion for music with a deep commitment to the people he served, leaving a lasting legacy in the community. As a talented musician, he brought the joy of music to all his friends and family.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilynne Schrader, and is survived by his cherished daughter, Kimberly Blackburn (m. Eddie LeCouteur), and his son, Dennis Blackburn Jr. He was a proud grandfather to Ren (m. Damon Blackburn) and Atlas Blackburn, and a great-grandfather to Crimson Blackburn, who brought him immense joy.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Dennis's extraordinary life at an upcoming memorial service to honor his memory. Details regarding the service will be shared shortly, allowing all to pay their respects to a remarkable man who touched so many hearts.
In this time of mourning, we find solace in the precious memories we hold and the lives he has forever changed. Dennis Bryan Blackburn, Sr.'s legacy of love and music will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

This a Christmas with half our cousins at our grandmothers house. Dennis is front and center. I remember him fondly growing up. He helped me as a sophomore in high school, showing me around . I also remember his family had the first tv and all the cousins were invited to come and watch Howdy Dowdy one Saturday. I remember his beautiful music at family reunions. He will be missed. Praying for peace and comfort for his immediate family and for all the cousins who will miss him greatly.

All of us at The Clock Restaurant in Gainesville mourn the loss of Dennis. He was a gentle, kind man who made everyone he encountered smile. His gracious manners and beautiful soul were obvious to all.
