Dennis Lee Boatright, 62, formerly of Freeport, passed away, Tuesday August 26, 2025, at Rochelle Community Hospital. Dennis was born on December 24, 1962, in Freeport, the son of Frank and Juanita (Calderin) Boatright. He was a 1982 graduate of Freeport High School. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Dennis worked for Malcolm Eaton Enterprises. When Dennis was not working, he enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley songs and watching sports on TV.
Surviving is his sister, Nancy Boatright of Freeport, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bonnie and JoAnn; brother, John; and twin nephews, Andrew and Aaron Boatright.
Funeral mass will be held 10:30 am Wednesday September 3, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew McMorrow will officiate. Visitation 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Jospeh Catholic Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Mary’s in Mr. Boatright’s memory.
