Dennis (Denny) Maras, age 70, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Manila, Utah. Dennis was born on February 2, 1955, in Crestline, Ohio, to Samuel Euguene Maras and Gladys (Penny) Martin Maras. On July 18, 1985, Denny married Sharron (Cher) Hendrickson.
Denny was an avid fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed attending races in person, watching them on television, and acquiring NASCAR collectables. Denny had a sizeable NASCAR collectible collection.
After retiring from the U.S. Forest Service, Denny enjoyed spending time tinkering around his property on his side-by-side, taking care of cats, and spending time with family. Denny would do anything for anyone and was honest as the day was long. Denny will be deeply missed by his friends and family now and forever more.
Denny is survived by his mother Gladys (Penny) Maras French, his brothers Tommy Maras (Kellerie) and Sean Ryan, his nieces Sarah Maras and Jessica Maras-Becerra (Carlos), and their daughters Samantha and Sierra, and his nephew River Young.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sam Maras, brother Phil Maras, and his beloved wife, Sharron (Cher) Maras.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. With a graveside service held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Law Cemetery, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California.
