Dennis Mauro

Dennis "Denny" Mauro, 74, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully at home on Friday evening, Dec. 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his father, John, and his mother, June. Beloved husband of 53 years to Connie Mauro. Loving father of Dennis (Erin) Mauro and Dana Mauro. Father to Mike (Ramona) Diehl. Cherished Pap of Ava, Lily, and Claire Mauro. Grandfather to Marissa Diehl and Mariah (Brandon) Monroe. Great-grandfather to Harper Ann Monroe. Dear brother of John (Pam), David (Joan), and Steven (Megan) Mauro. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Denny was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved. He was a loyal friend, always ready with a story or a laugh. For 50 years, Denny proudly co-owned and operated Mauro's Service Station, serving Oakmont and the surrounding communities with dedication, honesty, and a strong work ethic that earned him the respect of all who knew him. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures spending time at the beach, a round of golf, a good cigar, and admiring cars. Above all, he will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the love he shared with family and friends. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at Holy Family Parish-St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont. Burial will follow at Verona Cemetery, Oakmont.
