Mr. Dennis Leon Denson III

Dennis Leon Denson III, lovingly known as "Denny," passed away peacefully at his home on September 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 63 years old. Born on October 27, 1961, in Harvey, Illinois, Denny lived a life rooted in love, family, and quiet strength. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he spent his years building a legacy defined by kindness, dedication, and unwavering support for those he held dear. Denny is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Connie Denson, with whom he built a beautiful life and family. He was a proud father to Dennis (Miranda) Denson and Brittney (Josh) Gamble. Denny found immense joy in being "Papaw" to his treasured grandchildren, Auburn (Curtis) Clark, Alley, Avery, Harley, Landon, Langston, and Laykon; and expected great granddaughter, Georgia Le Clark, in honor of her Papaw . He is also survived by his loving parents, Dennis and Veda Denson, and in-laws, Bro. Shirley and Betty Byrum. Denny leaves behind a large extended family; sisters, Sherran (Charles) Shaffer, Donna Denson ; nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family-each one touched by his genuine heart and steady presence. Among his dearest companions was his special big brother Claud and Sis. Faye Frye with whom he shared countless memories and laughter over the years. Denny will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, loyal spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he helped shape and the hearts he leaves behind. A celebration of Denny's life will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Scott Cooley and Bro. Blake Gifford officiating.
