Dennis DeYoung Obituary
Dennis was born July 11, 1956, to Stanley Calvin and Betty Jean (Osborn) DeYoung in Plainville, Kansas. He married Diane Elizabeth Geist on August 17, 1984, in Hays Kansas. She preceded him in death May 2, 2017.
He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator in the land field and oilfield industry. In the late 70's and early 80's he worked for Pan-Am Construction in Africa, Liberia and Kenya operating heavy equipment. Dennis was a United States Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, watching the OU Sooners, and especially the LA Rams.
He is survived by a son, Calvin DeYoung of Damar, Kansas; daughter Renee DeYoung, Great Bend, KS; three sisters, Terri (John) Richardson, Clairmont, NC; Janice (Dennis) Craven, Wichita, KS; and Janet (Mike) Bruna, Plainville, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant daughter, Elizabeth, and nephew, Adam Bruna.
The family has chosen for cremation.
