Dennis John Dudzinski, age 71 of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 11, 1953 son of Louis and Josephine Dudzinski.
He proudly served his country in the Marines for over 8 years. He married Gaye Pruitt on November 11, 2011, in Salisbury, Maryland. He worked at the Kennedy Space Center as a life support manager for over 20 years, teaching and educating the importance of safety. He then worked at Wallops Flight Facility with MEI for 3 years as a rocket safety specialist, then went to work for OSHA for 10 years in Washington DC. Some favorite hobbies Dennis enjoyed were hunting, fishing, and golfing. Dennis was a loving, kind, compassionate and thoughtful family man and friend.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Gaye McKay Dudzinski; brothers Rev. Paul Dudzinski of Alexandria, VA, Andrew (Tracey) Dudzinski of Princeton, sisters Mary (Carl) Jakubowski of Fond du Lac, Verna (Brian) Metcalf of Princeton and Nancy (Jeff) Weasner of Waupaca, daughter Jennifer (Ricky)Paxton of Oklahoma, step daughter Whitney McKay of Florida, grandchildren Trevor, Trinity and Lexi. His aunt Norma Wastrack. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Theresa, and brother Phillip.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave. Fond du Lac. His brother Rev. Paul Dudzinski will officiate and burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Ripon. Full military honors will be held.
Visitation will be from 9 am until the time of Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
In Lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Wounded Warriors.
