Dennis R. Edwards

Dennis Ray Edwards, 83, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 4, 2022.
A native of Greer, son of the late Earl Edwards, Sr. and Katie Boling Edwards, he was a retired employee of Homelite, a member of New Covenant Assembly of God, and a deacon for over 40 years.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Martha Chandler Edwards of the home; one son, Dale Edwards of Greer; two daughters, Jane Edwards Neely (Tim) of Greer and Ann Edwards Larke (Tony) of Taylors; one brother, Earl Edwards, Jr. of Greer; one sister, Faith Edwards McKinney of Taylors; three grandchildren, Ethan Larke (Lindsey), Katie L. Sanford (Noah), and Holden Larke; and three great-grandchildren, Casey Larke, Greyson Larke, and Emery Sanford.
Mr. Edwards was predeceased by one son, Dennis R. Edwards, Jr. and one sister, Alda Edwards Jones.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Keith Hannon and Rev. Bradley Cox with webcasting available at www.thewoodmortuary.com Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bill Cox, Noah Sanford, David Cooper, Ethan Larke, Lamar Whitman, and Caleb Couch.
Visitation will be held 2:00-3:45 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, in honor of Mr. Edwards' grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
