Dennis Leroy Ellie

Dennis Leroy Ellie, age 75, of Peshtigo, passed away March 17, 2025. He was born November 14, 1949 in Oconto Falls son of the late Arthur and Elaine (Hansen) Ellie. Dennis grew up in Gillette, moved to Peshtigo in 1963, and graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1968.
On May 2, 1970 he married the former Judy Spice at St. Anthony Parish in Oconto Falls. The family lived in Oconto Falls until they moved to Peshtigo in 1984.
Dennis formerly worked as a factory worker, and enjoyed farming and field work. His father-in-law, Floyd Spice taught Dennis carpentry and masonry work. Dennis loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; and their 5 children, Dennis John (Jill), Jason (Tracy), Bryan (Shannon), Joe (Charity) all of Peshtigo, and Marileigh (Ronald) Ellie-Magabba of Marinette; Also survived by a brother, Wayne Ellie; 2 sisters, Sharon Prey and Diane Jakups; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grand kids.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by, his mother-in-law, Marilyn Spice; very special Aunt and Uncle, Melvin and Jean Ruege; a brother, Ronald Ellie; 2 brothers-in-law, Joe Jakups and Ralph Prey; and many more loved ones.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 21st at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM with Father Edmundo Siguenza officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
