Dennis Fade Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boren-Conner Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Jan. 7, 2025.
Dennis Lee Fade, a resident of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on August 1, 1939, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Carl and Ruth Fade and was preceded in death by sister Letha Belle Williams, and his brother, Roy Don Lynch.
A graduate of Mercedes high school in 1958, Dennis went on to be a proud member of the Corps Of Cadets and the Singing Cadets while earning a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University Class of 1962. His career began at General Electric where he rose through the ranks to become the manager of outside sales. Later, he retired from Trane after many years of dedicated service.
In 1983, Dennis finally found and married his soulmate, Cathey Fade. They shared a love for living on Lake Jacksonville, being on the water, with family and friends, while riding jet skis, and out on their beloved barge, the "Doodah." He continued to make cherished memories after her passing in 2000. As much as Dennis loved the lake, his love for the Aggies was unmatched, and he loved every moment spent supporting and cheering on his team.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Denise Leanne Fade-Bowman, and husband Nathan; his son, Dennis Lane Fade. He was a proud Granddaddy to Alyssa Ellen, Ashley Voigt, Ryan Fade, and wife Jesi, Lane Fade, Chelsea Manry, Alexandria Fade, and Haley Schuster and husband Carter, as well as 14 great grandchildren and his best friend and travel buddy, Doug Simmons.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, to begin at 1:00pm. Bro. Billy Bateman will officate the service.

So sorry to lose Dennis. He was always ready to talk and share his memories. I will miss running into our sweet neighbor. He was our favorite mechanic as he worked on jet skis and golf carts whenever we needed him. My prayers for his family in their loss.

We spent several years sitting with him and Denise at the Aggie football games and tailgates. He was a wonderful man! He enjoyed the Aggies and his cigar!
