Dennis C. "Cliffy" Gauthier, 78, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2025. The son of the late Clifford and Geraldine (Van Beek) Gauthier. He was born September 15, 1946 in Green Bay and spent considerable time in Florence his entire life. He was a graduate of East High School.
In 1968, he married the former Sheri Marks, they later parted ways but remained very close. Dennis was a member of Liuna Local 330, having worked for many local companies over the years before retiring in September 2001.
While Dennis was a private person, he held a small group of very close friends. Dennis was always there to lend a hand and expertise on a project. He was an avid outdoorsman, Dennis loved to hunt and fish as much as he loved to cut wood. He loved his Kroll's Seaburgers.
Dennis is survived by his children: Jamie (Pat Curren), Adam (Michelle) Gauthier, and Kristin Gauthier; former wife and the mother of his children, Sheri; his grandchildren: Landin and Ashlynn Gauthier; his sisters: Carol Bopray, Diane (Tim) Roden, Marilyn Ness, Joanne (Franki Giles) Gauthier, Sue Gauthier and Kathy (Scott) Yaeger; and his godson, Mark Bopray; Dennis is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister, Mary; his brother-in-laws: Ronny, James, Jerry, Ron and Edwin.
The family of Dennis would like to thank first responders from GBMFD Station 5 for their care and support on two separate occasions this week. We also acknowledge our angels of the Green Bay Police Department who attempted live saving treatment and stayed with our family throughout the process.
Also special thanks to his three children whom gave their dad unwavering support during his journey. He will be missed.
A Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held at a later date.
