Stafford, Kansas- Dennis Joe Grapper, 63, died July 30, 2023, at Stafford County Hospital, Stafford, Kansas. He was born December 30, 1959, in Glidden, Iowa, the son of Sarah Jane (Billman) Grapper and Rudy Grapper. Dennis graduated from High School in Minnesota and entered the U.S. Navy. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he worked for a private security company. He is survived by his mother, six sisters, two brothers and many nephews and nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers. Cremation has been selected and a private family service will be at a future date. His military marker will be placed near his brother’s grave in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kansas.

Dennis & i served together onboard the USS Nimitz for almost four years. Dennis was my supervisor and was a darned good one, too. But most of all he was a darned good person. In this photo that's Dennis wearing the cool shades.
