Dennis Hamer

Dennis Hamer, 57, passed away January 22, 2025. A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 26, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 27 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Vinton. Dennis is survived by his children, Katelyn, Elizabeth, and Luke; mother, Fran (Ken) DeMarce; brother, David Hamer; step- siblings, Kayla (Bryce) Paulson and Kip (Nikki) DeMarce; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Hamer and grandparents. Dennis grew up in Cedar Rapids and was a 1986 graduate of Washington High School. He worked at the former U.S. Cellular Center as an Operations Manager and was a bus driver for Center Point- Urbana Community School District for 12 years. He was a member of the Center Point Lion Club for 20 years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Veridian Credit Union for Dennis.
