Dennis Michael Johnson

Dennis Michael Johnson, devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather passed away on December 20, 2025 at the age of 87 surrounded by family.

Born on August 12, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dennis built a life centered on family, hard work, and quiet strength. He shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife Roberta, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and support.

As a father, Dennis was steady, patient, and deeply proud of his children. As a grandfather he found special joy in time spent with his grandchildren, always ready with a story, a smile, a comment or words of encouragement.

Dennis was known for his legendary facial expressions (we always knew what he was thinking), quiet presence, smile, his laughter, kindness, sweet tooth and for the way he showed up for the people who mattered most. He enjoyed reading, fishing, woodworking, sports especially watching the Vikings and spending time at the cabin on North Long Lake. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited but most of all he was very proud of his time served in the United States Marine Corp as well as his long career in construction. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Roberta; his children, Stephanie Brahms, husband Eric Brahms; Stacie Arends, husband Joe Arends; Eric Johnson, Carol Carty; his grandchildren, Hannah, Laurna, Connor, Grady, Eli, and Brayden. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Johnson, mother Aileen Ahlen, his brothers Dale and James Johnson.

A memorial gathering will be held on January 5 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Washburn-McReavy 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW Coon Rapids, MN 55433

He will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
