Dennis E. Johnson

Dennis E. Johnson, 68 of Brookfield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. He was born April 13, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Emery and Elaine Johnson who preceded him in death. He married Susan Braun, his beloved wife, on February 4, 2005, who also proceeded him in death in 2019.

He is survived by his cherished sister, Geri Koch, loving father of his children Jessica Hebert, Dennis Johnson II, Ashley (Dan) Schuster, and proud grandpa of 14 grandchildren.

Dennis had a diverse accounting career. The last organization he was employed with was Supportive Community Services (SCS) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past 16 years. Dennis was an integral part of SCS, a Not For Profit Corporation as Vice President. SCS provides much needed and compassionate guardianship services for those unable to care for themselves. He will truly be missed by all his co-workers.

He appreciated the great outdoors and had a passion for golf and fishing. He loved engaging in a lively game of cards especially Sheepshead, and in his spare time enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles.

Dennis was a wonderful, kind, generous, person who was always ready to help and mentor others. He was known to tell a joke or two, and was fun and enjoyable to be around.

Visitation will be at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive in Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 11:30 AM – 1:15 PM with a Celebration of Life Service following the visitation at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dennis will be always be loved and remembered in our hearts forever and deeply missed by all.
