Dennis Layton Obituary
He was born on May 11th, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Ira and Ruth Napier Layton.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Sue Layton; son D. R. (Rhea Pejana-Layton) Layton, II; sisters Connie (Clark) Dilley, Debra (Keith) Glenn; grandchildren Arena and April Pejana; and many other extended family and friends.
He loved his God, his church and valued his family and friends beyond measure. II Timothy 4:7 " I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,"
Dennis was self-employed and co-owner of American Roof, Inc., was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, where he was a choir member, trustee and taught Sunday School.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, January 22, 2024, at St. Peter's United Methodist Church St. Albans, with Pastor Jake Henley officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to St. Peter's United Methodist Church 2601 Forrestal Avenue St. Albans, WV 25177.

A beautiful friend all thru high school. Always had a smile on his face. He was a kind and caring guy! Made a lot of memories with him. We all had fun in high school!!! And Dennis was always a fun guy! May he rest in heavenly peace and fly high with the angels

So sad. I was so blessed to be in church that Sunday he testified. It was the most touching moment I have ever witnessed. My sister Sherry & I will miss the togetherness we all shared at Wednesday dinners. Sue, we love you, you are in our prayers.
