I have a soft, tender place in my heart for Dennis. I got to know him mostly through scouting back when I was the District Commissioner and was giving monthly trainings at Roundtable meetings about Varsity Scouting.
Most recently Dennis served as our committee chair for Pack and Troop 5055.
When I needed someone to come provide two deep leadership at our geocaching/rockhounding activity he willingly came. He was not able to move around much outside his vehicle but he was there and provided the support we needed that day cheerfully.

Dennis loved scouting but most of all he loved the youth. He was my mentor in scouting. He always went out of his way to say Hi to me. We will all miss him.
