Dennis was one of my first EMT students when I was teaching at CTC. I absolutely love this guy. He was so dedicated to his department, and when I got his son as an EMT student at the KFD academy, I couldnt have been more proud. Dennis was such an inspiration to everyone, and always had a smile on his face and a kind word for anyone he spoke with. This is such a loss to our EMS/Fire community... Dennis you are greatly missed.

Family was so important to him, and that was very evident. Mat and Allie, it was a privilege to have you in our youth group at Skyline and get to know your family. Dennis was a great coworker, friend and family man. I will miss his smiling face around the office and the animated conversations we used to have. He was passionate about everything he did in life, from being a good husband, father, firefighter, instructor and all around warmhearted person. He was always quick to offer help to those that needed it. I pray that God will give peace to all those that are feeling sorrow in our loss of such a great man, especially his family. Rest in Peace my brother Dennis and Godspeed.

Dennis, it just won't be the same around here without you. You were obnoxious at times, but your heart was always in the right place, you were a good friend, and always looking out for others. I was sincerely thankful when you came out to Iraq with me. No matter what, you always came through. I am glad to have known you Dennis, and I am a better person for it. You will be genuinely missed.

Daddy...what can I say? You were there when I needed a Dad. You have been there for Donald and I for 18 long years. You taught me what having a Dad really meant. You, Mom, Allie, and Matt gave me a family and a safe place to call home when I really didn't have one. You will always be missed and loved. God has another Angel in Heaven. I love you Daddy for now and always.

To the family and friends of Dennis, we sincerely express our deepest regrets for your loss. It's a terrible blow to the Beckert family, as well, to lose such a tremendous hero like Dennis Manewal. We served together at Fort Hood, Texas, 1995-1997, in Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry. He was, and remains, the best Bradley Fighting Vehicle technician that I've met in 27 years of service. He remained our dear friend and we are deeply saddened by his passing. All our love and prayers to Lisa and the family. Colonel & Mrs. Chris Beckert

In Memory of a great caring man that would help anyone in need. Dennis was a true loving family man who talked frequently of his family. He was always active, tuning his Truck or bike or going to training events and fund raisers with his fire fighting team. He was always excited when he would come to work and talk about the fire from the previous night that he helped with. Dennis has certainly touched the lives of so many people who will true have a void. Thanks for being the stand up person that you were. My deepest condolences to your family.
