DENNIS MAXEY Obituary

DENNIS MAXEY 01/17/1964 - 10/19/2025 Dennis "Dink" Ray Maxey entered into glory October 19, 2025, in OKC. He was born January 17,1964, to Francis Smith and Eddy Maxey. Dink was a devoted fisherman, master tinker-er and lover of all things nature. He was a simple man that expected nothing but kindness and maybe a good conversation. Dink is preceded in death by his father Eddy Maxey, stepfather Charles "Smitty" Smith, his son Justin Maxey, a sister Debbie Reimers, grandparents Elene Houser and Ed Maxey and Jerry and Pauline Parks. He is survived by his mother Francis Smith, stepmother Lynda Maxey, two daughters, Leah Johnson, Jessica Maxey and Gregory Sweeten, one aunt Faye Amos, two sisters Paula Bugg and Sandra Hardy, a brother Rick Maxey, grandchildren Brayden Nichols, Boone, Ruger and Rhymy Johnson, Bella and Everleigh Sweeten, alongside a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews and a few lifelong friends. In honor of his wishes he will be cremated and his final resting place will be amongst his father Eddy and son Justin. In addition, our family wishes to thank Sgt. Huff for his adamant retrieval of Dink at the time of his accident and we wish for him to know that while he couldn't save Dink he played a crucial part in assuring that we had a chance to say goodbye.
